Limestone veneer with hand-laid charm

Limestone veneer with hand-laid charm

August 11, 2010
This article first appeared in the 200812 issue of BD+C.

Architectural stone veneer mimics the look and feel of hand-laid limestone walls by re-creating the coarsely cleaved appearance of traditional limestone walls. RoughCut's embedded, fossilized artifacts and rough, pronounced face re-create limestone's rugged appearance at a fraction of the weight. The RoughCut profile, whose stones range in size from approximately 2 to 11 inches in height and 2 to 18 inches in length, is available in three colors: Vineyard Trail, Wheatfield (pictured), and Autumn Leaf. The manufacturer offers green solutions, such as use of fly ash in the manufacture of the veneers.
