The T-form, Reward Wall Systems’ latest insulating concrete form, is designed for use with the company’s iForm to make construction of interior demising walls more efficient. Like the rest of the iForm product line, the T-form is universal and reversible, helping reduce material waste and labor costs in the field. The 11-inch-wide form provides a six-inch concrete core for both the intersecting and longitudinal walls. Designed for both below- and above-grade use, the form is appropriate for commercial and residential construction, especially multifamily housing, condominiums, and hotels, where sound reduction is an important construction quality. “We heard contractors asking for an efficient way to build interior walls with the same energy-saving, fire-safe, and sound-resistive qualities as outside walls without having to do a lot of cutting in the field,” said Kelvin Doerr, PE, VP of engineering and technical services with RWS. “The T-form does this, saving time and labor costs.”
