Williams Scotsman has completed the construction and installation of nearly 29,000 sf of permanent modular space for the reconstruction of South Cameron Memorial Hospital in Cameron, La., following its destruction during Hurricane Rita. Working closely with Farmerville, La.-based Don M. Barron Contractor, Williams Scotsman prepared the site and delivered and installed 38 modular components that make up the new acute-care facility. The multi-million-dollar project also includes 12,000 sf of emergency facilities, 25 in-patient beds, and medical services space.
“Collaborating with Williams Scotsman by incorporating modular construction has helped us reach that goal more quickly than traditional building methods would have,” said Rita Simon, administrator of South Cameron Memorial Hospital.
