Mixed-use development to revitalize Old Pasadena neighborhood

Mixed-use development to revitalize Old Pasadena neighborhood

By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | October 11, 2011

A prominent intersection in Old Pasadena, Calif., will soon see more foot traffic with the opening of One Green Street, a mixed-use development encompassing 45,000 sf of restaurants, retail, office space, and subterranean parking. Only a 10-minute walk from the Del Mar Gold Line Station, the three-story building will sit on the last parcel of undeveloped land in Old Pasadena, revitalizing pedestrian activity and city revenue.

Historic architecture characterizes much of the city’s landscape, and design plans navigate a host of entitlements, including design guidelines, pubic works setbacks, and tree canopies. Construction will begin next year, led by Gonzalez Goodale Architects.
