Colorado College renovates 50-year-old dining halls for fall term, will seek LEED-EB designation

By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | August 17, 2011

This fall, some 2,000 students arriving for first term at Colorado College will find 50-year-old dining facilities transformed at the Lloyd E. Worner Campus Center. Summer renovations of Rastall Hall, Benjie’s Café, and Colorado Café in the center now have a brighter, more welcoming atmosphere for students. Designed by Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbott, the dining halls comprise a number of sustainable elements, striving for LEED for Existing Buildings certification.
