FROM INSPIRATION TO CREATION
Sherwin-Williams has collaborated on multiple projects to match the ideal aesthetic a customer wants. One impactful project is the T-Mobile Arena, featuring nine rustic Fluropon® Classic II colors that reflect the appearance of the Las Vegas desert.

“Sherwin-Williams was able to achieve a fantastic grouping of colors for the final application that everybody loved,” said Robert Norvell, associate principal architect at Populous, the architecture firm on the project. “It’s incredibly hard to formulate the subtle color change that we were targeting, and not only are the coatings visually pleasing, but they’re also extremely functional and will maintain the richness of color.”

Every business is different, and with that understanding Sherwin-Williams is able to work directly with customers to deliver the specific color or colors they desire. Our color expertise, paired with our customer support, allows each project to reach its full potential.

UNPARALLELED SUPPORT
Our color experts are ready to collaborate with your team to develop color schemes that will take your project to the next level. The Sherwin-Williams sales teams work closely with architects, manufacturers and end-users, asking the right questions and focusing on building customer relationships. Our sales representatives are there to support all of our customers’ needs from education, coating selection and color expertise to ensure projects have a beautiful appearance and long-lasting performance. The teams also coordinate between customers and labs to relay coating requests and deliver color samples. Sherwin-Williams is your resource for choosing the right coating and color inspiration for your projects.

CUSTOM CAPABILITIES
For the JW Marriott project in Dallas, Texas, our sales representatives and color experts in the lab demonstrated their dedication to delivering a customized solution. The project’s team wanted the hotel’s exterior to mimic the appearance of weathered steel using a variety of colors on metal panels. Sherwin-Williams worked with the metal design company, ProCLAD, to develop a color scheme that perfectly represented their vision.

The architect requested five sets of colors in varying shades of brown and the coil coatings team quickly provided 20 color options – ensuring the best possible result for the dimensional look and feel the metal panels needed. These 20 colors were narrowed down to three final custom Fluropon® Classic II colors, Barrel Brown, Fudge and Mustang.

“When you’re close to a piece of weathered steel you can see the color variation, but if you put it high up, it looks like it’s all the same color of brown,” explained Craig Caudill, executive vice president for ProCLAD. “These panels were the right solution to achieve the dimensionality. They’re really something else.”

On the same project, Sherwin-Williams also supplied coatings for interior mullions and exterior fins on the Win-Con Unitized curtain wall system. The curtain wall was coated in Fluropon Classic II in the color Bright Silver.

“Sherwin-Williams is one of our preferred manufacturers due to their range of capabilities, so we were thrilled to work with their team to supply the coating for components of the curtain wall,” said Charlie Ruyle, VP of Win-Con Enterprises, Inc., the contractor company on the project.

The responsive and customized service Sherwin-Williams provides ensures quality for both coil and extrusion projects.
