GreenZone 2016 on the road to Los Angeles Convention Center for Greenbuild

A crew from MODZ/Nathan D Young Construction hitch the 2016 Compton YouthBuild Education Center for a ride from Porland, Ore., to Los Angeles, where the 600-sf structure will be on display at Greenbuild 2016 (Oct 5-6).

The modular structure, which will be used as a training center and classroom facility for Compton (Calif.) YouthBuild after the Greenbuild show closes, is wrapped to protect it during the nearly 1,000-mile journey.

Designed by HDR, the career center is the product of a partnership led by Building Design+Construction magazine (SGC Horizon), the U.S. Green Building Council, modular builder MODZ, Compton YouthBuild, and numerous building product manufacturers serving the commercial construction industry.

Sponsoring manufacturers and organizations: BrightView Design Group, Delta, LaCANTINA DOORS, LG Builder, LG Business Solutions, LG Electronics USA Air Conditioning Systems, LG Hausys, LG LED Lighting, MechoSystems, nora systems, Pella, Scranton Products, and Valspar.

The Compton YouthBuild Education Center will be on display in Exhibit Space #2101 at the LA Convention Center.
