STV appoints new president

STV appoints new president

August 11, 2010

Milo E. Riverso, PhD, PE, (48) was appointed president of STV, a leading architectural, engineering, planning and construction management firm. In this new position, STV’s four operating divisions—Buildings and Facilities, Construction Management, Specialty Practices, and, Transportation and Infrastructure—will report to Riverso. Riverso will report directly to Dominick M. Servedio, PE, chairman and CEO of STV.

Riverso joined STV in April 2005 as senior vice president of STV Construction Inc. and, later that year, named its COO.  He was promoted to STV executive vice president in 2006. Under his leadership, STV’s CM practice doubled in size, improved in profitability and expanded its range of services, which in turn resulted in larger and more complex projects being awarded to the firm.

“In his years with STV, Milo has proven to be a true leader who fits our culture,” Servedio said. “His industry knowledge is substantial, gained through more than two decades of nationwide design and construction management experience.”

Prior to joining STV, Riverso served in executive management positions at a number of construction management firms. He was also formerly the president and CEO of the New York City School Construction Authority, where he directed the planning, design and construction of capital improvement and new construction of New York City’s 1,199 public schools, which serve more than one million students.

Riverso earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Manhattan College, and master’s and doctorate degrees from Purdue University. A registered professional engineer in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, he is a member of numerous professional organizations such as the New York Building Foundation Board of Governors, Chairman of the Board of the New York Chapter of ACE, Chairman of the Board of The Regional Alliance, Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers and the Urban Land Institute.

STV, which is 100% employee owned, has more than 1,600 employees in 30 offices. The firm is a leader in providing construction management, engineering, architectural, planning, and environmental services for transportation systems, infrastructure, buildings, and other facilities.
