The Los Angeles Police Department’s Motor Transport Division and Main Street Parking facility needed a parking garage façade that met its practical needs, as well as the strict LAPD security requirements. W.S. Tyler’s architectural woven wire mesh covers the structure in 34 eight-foot-wide vertically oriented panels that provide ventilation as well as natural and artificial light. The panels fold in, out, and around walkways, adding depth and drawing attention away from the concrete structure behind it.
