Thin, lightweight, easy-to-install insulation features an R-value higher than most insulation made of mineral wool, loose-fill cellulose, fiberglass blanket, rockwool, and perlite. Birdair Tensotherm uses Nanogel Aerogel, a super-light solid material, pressed between tough fabric membrane for an insulator that dampens noise, resists the growth of mold and fungus, and has a high R-value. Plus, translucent material can be used to transmit soft outdoor light.
