Ideal for classroom environments, the SARGENT Profile Series v.G1.5 is a standalone access control lock that can be opened using a key, PIN code or prox card. It is available in mortise lock, cylindrical lock or exit device configurations. The v.G1.5 supports up to 2,000 users and provides a 2,000-event audit trail.
The RF Fob provides the unique functionality of localized lockdown from inside the classroom. When programmed in “Panic button” mode, the v.G1.5 can be locked remotely from within 75 feet of the inside of the door to prevent entry by intruders. When locked using the RF panic button, all “user” credentials are disabled including PIN codes and prox cards ensuring that no one can enter even if they have a credential. An interior indicator flashes red to show that the door is in lockdown mode providing occupants with the peace of mind that the door is secured and the door stays locked even if the fob is pressed repeatedly, while always allowing free egress from the inside. The lock can only be reset by someone with a master credential.
