LEDs light the way at Swiss department stores

With more than 70 shops, Manor Group is Switzerland’s largest department store chain. To advance its sustainability focus and reduce operating costs, the firm chose Bridgelux RS Series LED Arrays mounted on RD Leuchten luminaires for its ladies and food departments in its Zurich and Basel flagship stores. The result: a 50% savings on lighting energy cost, reduced maintenance due to a quadrupling of lamp life, and the elimination of IR radiation (which can damage produce). Total annual savings: $69,000.
