Cree LR6The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Fla., installed halogen lighting with Cree LR6 LED recessed downlights that consume 10.5 watts, a 90% energy savings over each pair of 50-watt halogen bulbs they replaced. The LED downlights are designed for a 50,000-hour lifetime. A second LED lighting application exchanged halogen lighting in the lobby with Cree LRP-38 LED bulbs, saving more than 80% on energy consumption.
