Framing system can cut labor costs in half

Framing system can cut labor costs in half

This article first appeared in the 200805 issue of BD+C.

Steel framing system allows the stud to lock into the track, minimizing the use of mechanical fasteners. The framer simply twists, locks, and extends the stud between the tracks, which are installed in the same manner as conventional tracks. Trakloc studs also have a telescopic property that allows the user to adjust the stud to varying heights without requiring cutting and joining of studs. Because Trakloc does not require cutting it can be used in areas where noise and debris must be kept to a minimum, such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and offices.
