At department store chain Dillard’s distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas, maintenance manager Roger Tudor was looking for a way to keep interior temperatures down, especially in the summer. Twenty-one high-volume, low-speed Velocity-brand warehouse fans from Serco were installed to maintain cooler temperatures for the facility, which covers more than one million sf of warehouse storage space in addition to the more than 70 conveyer-fed dock positions. A networked fan control system, iFAN, was also selected to allow for hands-off fan management, restricting access to authorized employees and ensuring fans are at their most efficient settings.
