Pedestrian Bridge At Hospital

Pedestrian Bridge At Hospital

August 11, 2010

Mission Viejo, CA – McCarthy Building Companies of Newport Beach, CA, is building a new patient tower at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. As a part of the project, they are constructing a 175-foot-long pedestrian bridge that will connect the new Patient Care Tower with the existing main hospital building on the third floor. This construction is being conducted on a tight site and is quite impressive because they are connecting to a busy, operational hospital while mitigating construction inconveniences to the campus and major mall next door. To minimize disruption to the existing facilities, McCarthy participated in about nine months of pre-planning with the owner to ensure that the project runs smoothly in all phases.
