Safe cyber meetings

Online meeting Web site, eZmeeting, allows up to 32 users to collaborate in real time on CAD documents, 3-D models and other project information. It protects intellectual property because it does not require electronic copies to be distributed for a meeting, like other online meeting services. Data never leaves its original location and cannot be printed or saved by participants.

AutoDesk buys Revit

CAD software giant AutoDesk Inc., San Rafael, Calif., has purchased Revit Technology Corp., Waltham, Mass.-based developer of parametric model-based design software, for $133 million. According to AutoDesk, Revit software will complement its current offerings, and is especially well suited for retail and hospitality design — new target markets for the company.

Office lobby security software, PassagePoint Link, provides building owners with a number of ways to create a secure work environment, including photo and signature capturing for fast, visual verification, business card scanning to speed the check-in process and temporary access cards with set "permissions."
