NELSON, Torchia announce merger

NELSON, a global interior design, architecture, engineering, strategies, workplace services and information services firm, reached an agreement to merge its local Chicago/Midwest region operations with Torchia Associates, Inc., an architectural and interior design firm.

Leaders from the two firms describe their relationship as one that has evolved from “competitive” to a “competitive advantage” in the Midwest market and beyond. Both NELSON and Torchia have remained strong during the challenging economic times both experiencing growth in their Chicago/Midwest region operations. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in collaboration with HNTB, the new ballpark for the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team will be located on the Las Vegas Strip and offer panoramic views of the city skyline. The 33,000-capacity covered, climate-controlled stadium will sit on nine acres on Las Vegas Boulevard.
