Plano, Texas-based M+W Zander is designing a nanotechnology center on the campus of the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal, for the Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory. Straying from traditional research facility designs, the 230,000-sf facility employs a curving form that conforms to local topography. The 12-acre campus includes a main scientific building with Class 100 and 1000 cleanrooms and labs, a business incubator, and residential accommodations for visiting professors and lab staff.
