An EPS insulation product meets most fire codes. The expanded polystyrene insulator, created by compressing hydrogen and carbon atoms into a foamed plastic, is a low-maintenance solution for exterior surfaces that need a reliable barrier from the elements. EPS is applied to foundations, walls and roofs, and has a history of efficient use in industrial, commercial and cold-storage buildings.
