Architecture firm Perkins+Will's Minneapolis office recently completed a new corporate headquarters for Great River Energy in Minnesota. The four-story, 166,000-sf building is being registered for LEED Platinum certification and features geothermal heating and cooling systems, an on-site 200 kW wind turbine, and photovoltaic solar panels on the roof. The energy-efficient aspects are estimated to pay for themselves in less than seven years, saving the company more than $90,000 annually in electric costs.
