A new building at the Ritter Public Library in Vermilion, Ohio, could help the library become the first in the state to win LEED Gold certification. The 18,000-sf addition will include exterior-window sunshades, a bio-retention rain garden, a vegetative green roof, and other green technologies. Crafted by CBLH Design in Cleveland, the building would see a 40% increase in energy savings thanks to a new HVAC system, an efficient variable refrigerant flow system, and high levels of insulation.
