Philadelphia-based general contractor P. Agnes Inc. recently hoisted the first steel girder for construction of the $55 million Willis Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. The eight-story structure is being constructed atop an existing six-story office building and parking garage. It will house eight operating rooms, physician offices, classrooms, education facilities and a research lab. The project is expected to be completed by summer of 2002.
