Environmental Systems Design (ESD) has designed Server Farm Realty’s 440,000-sf data center and electronic trading facility in Chicago. Offering 30 W/sf over 130,000 sf, the center will be supported by more than 32 mW of power, requiring more than 20 generators. Floor loads will reach 225 lb/sf. Initial occupancy is expected for September, helping accommodate the city’s burgeoning electronic trading industry.
