Furniture Solutions Group (FSG) recently completed the Mae on Cascade, a newly built, 177-unit multifamily housing community in downtown Colorado Springs, designed by Denver-based Johnson Nathan Strohe Architects.

Furniture Solutions Group worked with Norwood Development Group and JNS Architects to procure and install all of the furniture, window treatments, artwork, and accessories for the Mae on Cascade, creating a boutique hospitality feel.

PROPERTY HONORS FANNIE MAE DUNCAN

The property honors the legacy of Fannie Mae Duncan (1918-2005), an African-American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community activist in Colorado Springs. She was the proprietor of the Cotton Club, an early integrated jazz club in Colorado Springs named after the famous club in Harlem.

In 2012, Duncan was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame. The property pays homage to Fannie Mae Duncan and the Cotton Club, with modern luxury, elevated living, and her message of “Everyone Welcome.”

FSG-PROCURED FURNISHINGS RECALL JAZZ CLUB

The Mae on Cascade features stunning cobalt crushed velvet wraparound custom booths procured by FSG that retain the same level of class as Fannie Mae Duncan’s swanky 1950s jazz club.

Amenities include a warm, modern jazz club, resort-style pool, and a pet spa.

The community is designed for a healthy lifestyle, and residents will find their favorite spots on the property.

Apartments range in size from 400 to 1,500 sf, from studios to three-bedroom units in 43 unique floor plans. LEED Silver certification has been targeted.

Mae on Cascade is located in Colorado Springs' New South End neighborhood and has 25 restaurants and bars within a five-minute walk.

PRAISE FROM DEVELOPER FOR HIGH LEVEL OF CARE

“From top to bottom, our experience with working with the team from FSG was fantastic,” said Matt Dockter, Project Manager with Norwood Development Group. “Having worked in similar procurement industries myself, I can say with confidence that the level of care provided by FSG can’t be overstated.”

Christian Carr, President of Furniture Solutions Group, said, “This project is a great example of what we do every day — partner with the right clients, designers, and manufacturers to deliver award-worthy results.”
