Holder Construction Co., Atlanta, and TiePoint Engineering, Baltimore, were selected last month to build out an empty, 135,000-sf Phoenix building into a data center for Internet auction company eBay. The data center will occupy two floors of the four-story building. eBay plans to retrofit the remaining two floors into offices at a later date. Work on the data center includes construction of an MEP infrastructure, a UPS system, building monitoring systems, and a raised floor. The project is scheduled for completion in March 2006.
