The Construction Writers Association congratulates Building Design+Construction as a winner of the 11th annual Website and Electronic Communications Awards. BD+C was honored in the "Blog/Podcast" category for its "Webcast Series," which provides architects, engineers, contractors, and others in the building industry with continuing education credits from the American Institute of Architects.
The award was presented in October 2008 at the fall midyear meeting, "Smart Move-Gaining An Edge," in Chicago.
The Construction Writers Association Website Awards were established in 1998 to acknowledge excellence in online journalism. Since then, the CWA Website Awards have expanded to include marketing-oriented websites and other digital media, such as e-newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and streaming video. These media are considered in the Electronic Communication Awards, which were added to the Website Awards in 2006.
In 2006, Building Design+Construction's website, www.BDCnetwork.com, was named "Best Website" by the Construction Writers Association.
