Association Officials Available for Green Building Interviews

By Staff | August 11, 2010

Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Chicago officials are available for interviews on the topic of Green Building when MCA Chicago celebrates its 120th Anniversary in 2008. The association will mark the occasion by moving their headquarters into a sustainable building in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

Green building is quickly becoming a fact of life across America — and the business community needs to know it is becoming a requirement that must be addressed. MCA Chicago keeps member contractors up-to-date with the latest green building technology, since the effectiveness of a sustainable building depends on its mechanical systems. Mechanical contractors install and service heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems, as well as fire sprinklers, plumbing and process piping.

Interviews on green building can be scheduled with Dan Bulley, senior vice president of MCA Chicago and Stephen Lamb, executive vice president of MCA Chicago.

Bulley is MCA Chicago's resident expert on green building. In addition to his duties with the association, he is also secretary of the Chicago Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, Volunteer Chair for Greenbuild, and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional. Bulley can discuss how green building works, the benefits of green building, and the new MCA Chicago headquarters.

Lamb is dedicated to providing superior learning opportunities for the member contractors of MCA Chicago. He can discuss the specifics of training contractors, and why it is important for contractors to seek continuing education to develop their expertise, not only in green building but also in other key aspects of their business.
