U.S. Navy, Marine Corps to aim for LEED Gold

Beginning in 2013, all new buildings for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps will aim for LEED Gold certification without increasing the department’s budget, according to a press release from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Building plans adhere to the Obama Administration’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 28% by 2020.
