Optimizing Your Leadership Style (October 27, 9:30-11:00 am, and 2:30-4:00 pm)Trainer/facilitators from Baker Communications will on hand to guide Summit participants in a hands-on half-day program focused on understanding your personal Leadership Style and how to use your unique Leadership Style most effectively in your interactions with professional colleagues, staff, and—most importantly—prospects and clients.
U-40 Summit Leadership Activity Training Sessions:

  • Knowing more about your own personal Leadership Style
  • How to identify – and work with – the Leadership Styles of others
  • Understanding the Key Leadership Style “Do's and Don'ts”
  • Adapting your communications to accommodate Leadership Style differences

Blue Ocean Strategy: Incorporating "Value Innovation"  (October 28, 8:30-10:00 am; and 10:15-11:45 am) The Blue Ocean Strategy is a best seller across five continents. It has been published in over 40 languages and has sold over 2 million copies. Based on a study of 150 strategic moves spanning more than 100 years and 30 industries, it provides a systematic approach to making the competition irrelevant and creating uncontested market space. Blue Ocean Strategy will help you chart a bold new path to winning the future.
In today’s overcrowded business environment, head-to-head competition for competitive advantage, market share and sustained, profitable growth results in a bloody “red ocean” of rivals fighting over a shrinking profit pool.
“Blue Ocean Strategy” challenges everything you thought you knew about strategic success requirements by arguing that tomorrow’s leading companies will succeed not by battling competitors, but by creating “blue oceans” of uncontested market space ripe for growth. Such strategic moves—termed “value innovation”— create powerful leaps in value for both the firm and its clients, render rivals obsolete and unleash new demand.

What you and your company will gain from the Under-40 Leadership Summit

  • Ways to broaden and capture a new market base while continuing to serve existing clients
  • In-depth understanding of your personal leadership style
  • Techniques to optimize your leadership qualities with clients, peers, and staff
  • "Great solutions" to technical, professional, and client-related problems.
