Turner Picked For Cincinnati Tower

By Staff | August 11, 2010

Turner Construction Co. has been awarded a $210-million contract by Eagle Realty Group to construct the 800,000-square-foot Great American Tower at Queen City Square in Cincinnati. Upon completion in January 2011, the tower will become the tallest in Cincinnati and will seek a LEED CS certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

According to Turner, the scope of work encompasses construction of a 41-story commercial tower, which includes a 1,700-car parking structure and 25,000 square feet of retail space, and the demolition of an existing parking garage on the site.

Turner also served as the construction manager for the first phase of the Queen City development, which was completed in 2006. The scope of work for Phase 1 included a 16-story office tower and 680-space parking garage.
