Shanghai mixed-use complex will help revitalize city

As part of an urban renewal program, Taipingqiao Lot 126-127 will add 2.4 million sf of retail and office space to Shanghai. The $425 million mixed-use development will include two 28-story office buildings and three ground-floor retail spaces. The Building Team includes architect Kohn Pedersen Fox and structural engineer Thornton-Tomasetti, both based in New York, and developer Shui On Group, Hong Kong. Expected completion is 2009.
