Since putting in place their Safety Management Systems Tracking Tool three years ago, risk managers for the World Trade Center project in New York say they've seen workplace injuries, reported hazards, and workers compensation claims decline. On most conventional construction projects, electronic site safety and performance records are segmented according to the individual insurers of the project, with separate databases for safety-related issues. 

By combining all of these fields into a single tracking system, project managers are able to more accurately assess and prevent injuries and accidents.
