Santa Barbara, Calif.-based retail developer Investec Real Estate Cos. is erecting Gene Autry Plaza, a $17.5 million, 60,000-sf shopping center that’s part of a retail center development planned for Palm Springs, Calif. The 60-acre development is an alliance between Investec, Palm Desert-based developer Nicholas Group, and Native American Michael Prieto of the Agua Caliente tribe. KKE Architects of Pasadena, Calif., is the project architect for Gene Autry Plaza; GHA Cos., Cathedral City, Calif., is the GC.
