A $52 million, 130,300-sf dual-use sports center for college ice hockey and basketball opened recently at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. Designed by Centerbrook Architects, of Centerbrook, Conn., the TD Banknorth Sports Center is one of only four college hockey/basketball arenas in the Northeast. The ice hockey arena seats 3,286 and the basketball arena seats 3,570. The building was constructed by general contractor Dimeo Construction, Providence, R.I.
