Pella has added a double-hung window to its Impervia line of windows and doors. The product line, which also features single-hung windows, sliding windows, fixed windows, and sliding patio doors, is made from Duracast fiberglass composite material, which is nine times stronger than vinyl and twice as strong as aluminum in tensile strength tests. In addition, unlike aluminum, which is a natural conductor, Duracast offers good insulating properties and energy efficiency.
