One of the largest solar electric power-generation systems in New York State is located in Yonkers on the roof of i.Park Hudson, a technology, office, and industrial complex owned by real estate development and investment firm National Resources. Provided by Chicago-based solar and wind energy developer Half Moon Ventures, the recently unveiled power-generation installation provides as much as 15% of the 24-acre campus’s electricity. The system includes 3,700 solar panels that cover roughly the same square footage as two football fields. They are spread across four different roof areas in the eight-building complex.
