Shaw, William McDonough collaborate on eco-carpet inspired by place making

Drawing inspiration from the landscape of human creation and its impact on the world, the Essay of Clues carpet collection from Shaw Contract Group is a Cradle to Cradle-certified collection designed in collaboration with architect William McDonough. McDonough's designs take into account various issues involved with place making, such as archeology, boundaries, agricultural heritage, and human imprint, to create visual representations of the built environment, including complex city plans and building sites. The carpet is completely recyclable in a closed-loop process and can potentially contribute toward two LEED credits: Innovation in Design and Low-Emitting Materials. Available in four tile patterns and two broadloom patterns, and in 12 colors.
