While constructing a traditional new office space in its laboratory facility, Shire Pharmaceuticals in Lexington, Mass., chose LifeSPACE ERA, a modular wall product, to provide the most efficient utility delivery system, maximize future flexibility, and create appropriate levels of sound privacy for the offices. Combining modular wall systems with an integrated application of sound-absorbing finishes and background sound masking resulted in an adaptable environment that met the client’s design goals. Acentech of Cambridge, Mass., and A/E firm KlingStubbins led the Building Team.
