The Dennis (Mass.) Union Church had been serving that Cape Cod community for nearly 200 years when a building committee came together to decide on how best to treat the church’s aging exterior while preserving its historical elements. Part of the ensuing renovations included composite shutters from Atlantic Premium Shutters that replaced previous undersized ones that did not match the scale or character of the church’s windows. The louvered colonial shutters were finished in a dark evergreen color, customized to fit proportionately to each window. Crafted with impervious, marine-grade fiberglass stiles and louvers, the shutters carry a limited lifetime structural warranty and 15-year finish warranty.
