Commercial shower heads save water, improve installation

Commercial shower heads save water, improve installation

April 14, 2011

Moen’s commercial division introduced five new Eco-Performance shower systems that are certified to meet WaterSense criteria and can contribute toward LEED points. The showerheads have a 1.5 gal/minute flow rate with an optimized spray pattern to give it oomph while using 40% less water than standard units. The showerheads are combined with a Posi-Temp valve that eliminates shower shock that results from fluctuations in water temperature and pressure. The valve also enables back-to-back installation so two showers can be installed on opposite sides of the same wall without the need to re-plumb water supply lines for one of the showers. The showerheads are available in wall-mount or handheld models and have a solid brass shell with chrome finish.
