The three-story, 80,000-sf office building in Albuquerque, N.M., designed by local architect Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, has been pre-certified by the U.S. Green Building Council for a Silver rating in its LEED Core and Shell program. The building's exterior includes high-performance curtainwall glazing, exterior shades for daylight control, operable windows, and a "cool" roof. Interior features include water-conserving plumbing fixtures and an underfloor air distribution system. The building is expected to use 30% less water and 45% less energy than a typical office facility. Albuquerque-based Enterprise Builders is constructing the building for local developer R. Davis Companies. Bridgers + Paxton, Albuquerque, is providing M/E/P engineering in collaboration with local contractors Yearout Mechanical and Chaparral Electric.
