The play’s the thing at new San Diego Shakespeare theater
August 11, 2010
San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre has opened its new Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, whose main attraction is the 30,000-sf Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre. Clad in an Elizabethan-style exterior façade built by DPR Construction, Calif., and designed by Seattle’s LMN Architects, the 250-seat venue replaces the Cassius Carter Centre Stage. Other additions: a 6,200-sf education center and a 2,000-sf multi-purpose facility.
