Vista Host, a Houston-based hotel management and development firm, is heading a joint hotel development project that will co-locate a Hampton Inn and Suites and a Homewood Suites (both Hilton brands) on the same property in downtown Pittsburgh. Designed by Indovina Associates Architects, with Zambrano Corp. as contractor (both based in Pittsburgh), the project is composed of a new seven-story, 70,000-sf Hampton Inn and Suites linked to an existing 13-story building that will be converted to a 105-suite, 100,000-sf Homewood Suites. The buildings will be linked via a parking garage and a series of interior connection points throughout the buildings.
