Mergers and acquisitions.Brinjac, Kambric & Associates Inc. of Harrisburg, Pa., changed its name to Brinjac Engineering Inc.

Beardsley Design Associates of Auburn, N.Y., merged with Camens Architectural Associates of Malone, N.Y. The office in Malone will be known as BDA North·Beardsley Design Associates.

CMB Architecture & Planning Inc. of Seattle, Wash., was closed Oct. 31 because of retirement.

New York City-based Bovis Lend Lease announced the formation of Bovis Lend Lease Pharmaceutical, a company focused on providing solutions to global customers in the pharmaceutical and allied industries. Bovis Lend Lease Americas appointed Charles A. Bacon III as chief executive officer. Larry Atkins is chief operating officer. The current CEO, William J. Moss, will retire at the end of the year.

Willingboro, N.J.-based Hill International Inc., a construction management firm, has opened a Philadelphia office. Michael Hagarty is the vice president in charge.

Jambhekar Strauss has joined with New York City-based Fox and Fowle Architects. Sudhir Jambhekar and Mark Struss will become principals with Fox and Fowle.

Upwardly mobile. New York City-based construction management firm Bovis Lend Lease Americas Omaha, Neb.-based HDR Architecture Inc. has named Robert Cavigli new president.

Kouhaila G. Hammer has been named president and CEO of Ghafari Associates LLC as part of a restructuring and growth plan for the Dearborn, Mich.-based engineering-architecture company.

Vanderweil Engineers of Boston has named Paul J. Banks as CEO.

Peter Doyle has been named president and CEO of Houston-based J.E. Dunn of Texas Inc. He was with Linbeck Construction Corp.

James A. Moran became managing principal of the Austin, Texas, office of Boston-based Walker Parking Consultants.

Boston-based Margulies & Associates has promoted Janet Morra to principal.

San Diego-based architecture and design firm Carrier Johnson has promoted Mark Loxsom to managing principal of its Irvine office.

In the news. A two-part documentary series titled Environmental Partners on a public broadcasting network will feature the Center for the Environment Building at Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C. KKA Architecture, a Salisbury architectural design firm, designed the building. Architect Karen Alexander led the team, which included students and Catawba staff whose research resulted in a sustainably designed building.
