Stone pieces were cut by water-jet to create large custom stone floor inlays and a 24-foot mosaic medallion.

A collaboration among Georgia Tech’s Digital Building Lab, American Concrete Institute, American Institute of Steel Construction, and the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute aims to reduce that figure by DEVELOPING GLOBAL STANDARDS for transportation of 3D digital models among fabricators and AEC firms.

Crushed concrete was used for fill material for two new apartment complexes; exterior bricks were made part of a new park near the complex. According to demolition contractor Pete Peterson, only half of the construction materials from a typical residential demolition can be reused.
