Nonresidential construction spending to decline in 2011, slightly rise in 2012

Shortfalls in the design and construction industry have contributed to a 5.6% decline in spending for 2011. But according to the American Institute of Architects semi-annual Consensus Construction Forecast, 2012 may be a brighter year. A projected 6.4% increase of spending in 2012 is hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel for industry professionals.
