The hotel, due for completion in 2008, combines modern linear and vertical expressions with traditional Thai design elements such as louvered shutters, Thai lanterns on the façade, and stepped parapets on the towers.

August 11,2010The design team of Pelli Clarke Pelli, New Haven, Conn., and Ellerbe Becket, Minneapolis, has unveiled its dramatic design for the Sidra Medical and Research Center in Doha, Qatar. Developed by the Qatar Foundation, the landmark facility will be the first academic medical and research center in the region based on the North American healthcare model.
