That earlier surge in starts resulted in warehouse construction spending growing at a 15% annual pace from mid-2005 through 2006. Recent weaker starts should slow warehouse construction spending growth to 6–7% in 2007.

    Atlanta-based Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates is architect for an $81 million headquarters and emergency operations building at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Center in Atlanta. Skanska USA is general contractor for the 360,000-sf building, which is scheduled for completion in mid-2005.
