New Jetblue Terminal Being Built at New York's JFK Airport

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has begun construction on JetBlue airline's new terminal at JFK International Airport. The 635,000-sf terminal will have 26 gates and capacity to serve 20 million customers a year.

The $875 million project will be partially funded by JetBlue and is scheduled to be completed by 2009. The Building Team includes New York City-based companies Arup (planner and design manager), Gensler (terminal architects), DMJM Harris (airside/landside civil engineers), and the Rockwell Group (interior architect). Dallas-based Turner Construction holds the construction management contract.
